Barbera is a lesser known grape variety, grown in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy. The vision was to build the Barbera grape into the one on everyone’s lips.

We were tasked to create a Barbera brand for the international market but especially for a launch into the USA. The price point is under $10. We devised the ‘Barbera Da Vine’ character and TOV to reflect the wine characteristics… An Italian Gal – based on the pin-up art of the 50’s.

Cues: The fruit, the Oak barrel is very important as BDV is part aged this way, the acidic green leafy dress and Barbera’s stocking tops all combine to tell the wine story. HEY! Is that a bottle of Barbera in your pocket?
